Developing Strategy in the Midst of Change
What problem is your institution facing that keeps you up at night?
As a Christian leader, your institution or congregation may face more than one complex challenge. The search for solutions likely is complicated by a rush to closure, the inadequacy of former methods of problem-solving, and a growing number of internal and external forces pushing against any one solution. As a result, you have not made the right assumptions, asked the right questions, involved the right people or found sustainable solutions.
Developing Strategy in the Midst of Change is designed to be practical and useful. Each participant will bring a problem to work on, and together we will properly diagnose it and begin shaping a coherent, sustainable action plan. Participants will leave with new insights and a clear understanding of next steps to develop experiments and work toward solutions.
Readings, class dialogue and activities will explore social and environmental trends affecting Christian institutions as well as the mindsets, activities and traits that position institutional leaders to effectively craft and implement strategy.
A maximum of 35 participants will meet over two days. Prior to the program, each participant will receive reading suggestions and be asked to formulate a critical question facing his or her ministry.
