Courage to Serve

More than a matter of techniques and skills, effective pastoral ministry is grounded in the identity and integrity of the individual pastor. In many ways, pastoral leadership is more a question of “who” than of “what” or “how.”

Courage to Serve is a personal and professional renewal program that helps pastors address the “who” questions of ministry. Open only to United Methodist pastors serving rural congregations in North Carolina, the program uses a formation process in its five retreats held over 15 months to help pastors examine issues of life and leadership.

The 2010-2012 program begins in . October 2010.

The program is supported by a grant from The Duke Endowment.
