William H. Lamar IV is an itinerant elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. He served churches in three Florida communities: Monticello, Orlando and Jacksonville. Lamar's pastoral work focused on developing ministries for men and youth and creating partnerships for community economic and educational development. At Leadership Education, Lamar designs, resources and facilitates educational opportunities on such topics as social innovation and the economic and communications challenges faced by denominations. He is the director of the Sustaining Pastoral Excellence grant coordination office. Lamar is a graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and Duke Divinity School.
