Wesley Granberg-Michaelson: Denominations will always be needed
But if denominations are to have a vibrant future, they must become a means to network people in meaningful, covenantal relationships, says the head of the Reformed Church in America.

Wesley Granberg-Michaelson is general secretary of the Reformed Church in America (RCA), a position he has held since 1994. During Granberg-Michaelson’s tenure as general secretary, the RCA has implemented a plan for revitalization and church development. He also has served as the first board chair of Call to Renewal, a broadly ecumenical movement linking faith and justice, and as interim moderator in the founding of Christian Churches Together in the USA (CCT-USA).
