'Copenhagen is about doing as little as possible'
With his 1972 book "The Limits to Growth," economist Dennis Meadows was one of the first to warn about the looming environmental crisis. In an interview with Spiegel online, Meadows spoke recently about the need to drastically change our behavior and why he doesn't expect much from the global climate change summit in Copenhagen. The bad news? When it comes to global warming, we’re already too late. The good? “We won't die out as a species. . . . I doubt, however, that in the end there will be billions of us flying around the world in planes and driving huge cars.”
