As students get ready to return to campus, the New York Times has been collecting stories from those in the thick of it, including Dustin Junkert, a 2009 graduate of George Fox University, a Christian school in Newberg, Oregon. “I grew up quietly and without thought,” Junkert writes. “I believed in God and my parents, my friends, and the four walls of my house. All things were within reach, simple and inspiring.” And then he went to college.
