Being a young priest can be lonely at times, particularly at weddings. It can also be difficult being part of an institution that has been plagued by scandal as long as you have been a member. But Joanna Kiernan of Dublin’s Sunday Independent found Frs. Paddy Byrne and Paul Dempsey largely happy and fulfilled, even if they are if a little angry at times.
